A little holiday riddle

What do you call the Sunday between Christmas and New Year's Day?

Well, we called it our last missions service of 2014 :)
OK, I promise not to quit my day job.

Anyway, we celebrated it yesterday with Pastor Keith Williams at Southwood Assembly of God in Indianapolis.

We enjoyed sharing ministry and missions with Pastor Keith and the good people at Southwood Assembly.

If you are looking for a church home in Indianapolis ...

... Pastor Keith would love to see you at Southwood Assembly!

Stuart and I hope to return to Mexico City in the next few months. But we need generous people like you to partner with us to proclaim release to the captives of drug addiction and to set at liberty those who are oppressed by the sex trade. Please consider a one-time gift or recurring monthly commitment today.

We can make a difference together!

Taking a trek to the StoreHouse

We may not trek by starlight or on camelback, but itineration travel can be grueling at times. However, catching up with old friends definitely make those (seemingly endless) miles worth it.

Such was the case this weekend when we caught up with Pastor Troy and Teresa Trout at The StoreHouse in Greencastle. We met years (and years) ago in Fort Wayne while serving at our respective churches and before we all went to the mission field.

Thank you, Troy and Teresa for your warm hospitality, delicious food, lively conversation, and generous spirit. And many thanks to The StoreHouse as well for a wonderful weekend and the beautiful gift basket!
You are a blessing.

The itineration finish line is closer now than ever before, but we need some financial energy packs to help us reach our goal :) If you would like to get some tax-deductible giving in before the end of the year, please consider a one-time gift or recurring monthly commitment today.

We need generous people like you to partner with us to proclaim release to the captives of drug addiction and to set at liberty those who are oppressed by the sex trade. We can make a difference together!

May God bless you with discomfort

May God bless you with discomfort at easy answers, half-truths, and superficial relationships, so that you may live deep within your hearts.
May God bless you with anger at injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people, so that you may work for justice, freedom, and peace.
May God bless you with tears to shed for those who suffer pain, rejection, hunger, and war, so that you may reach out your hand to comfort them and turn their pain into joy.
May God bless you with enough foolishness to believe that you can make a difference in the world, so that you can do what others claim cannot be done.
Amen

There's no place like home

Stuart and I shared three services with Pastor Ron and Joy Hawkins and our church family at Fort Wayne First Assembly, this weekend.

Stuart and I have called First Assembly home since 1997. We had the privilege of serving as youth leaders, Adult Bible Fellowship teachers, home group leaders, and missions committee members. Prior to our missionary appointment, Stuart was the property manager at the Coliseum Blvd location and I also worked part-time as a receptionist and graphic designer.

However, nothing beats sharing our heart and ministry with a church who has loved and supported us from the very beginning. Thank you, Pastor Ron, Missions Director Marilyn Tolbert, and everyone at Fort Wayne First Assembly.
You made our day!

Yesterday, also happened to be BGMC Sunday. All these coins will help fund feeding programs, water wells, curriculum and other critical needs around the globe. On behalf of all Assemblies of God missionaries who rely on such support, we thank you

Stuart and I hope to return to Mexico City in a few months. But we need generous people like you to partner with us to proclaim release to the captives of drug addiction and to set at liberty those who are oppressed by the sex trade. Please consider a one-time gift or recurring monthly commitment today.

#GivingTuesday

Did you brave Black Friday?

Surf for deals on Cyber Monday?

Celebrate generosity on Giving Tuesday?

What is Giving Tuesday? Why it's a global day for giving back!

Stuart and I hope to return to Mexico City in a few months. So we are asking generous people like you to please partner with us to proclaim release to the captives of drug addiction and to set at liberty those who are oppressed by the sex trade by considering a one-time gift or recurring monthly commitment today.

Feeling especially generous? Here are more missionaries currently itinerating and needing a financial boost.

A creek that flows with the love of God

According to their mission statement, Eagle Creek Assembly of God serves as an international fellowship of Christians who love God by leading others into His love

Stuart and I shared ministry with Pastor Greg and Vicky Gentry yesterday in Indianapolis and we can attest that Eagle Creek Assembly flows with the love of God for each other and their community.

First, Stuart and I spent the Sunday school hour impressing the Hispanic class with our Spanglish :) Thanks for your kind comments and questions. Also, our sincere appreciation goes out to Pastora Madeline Nuñez. Your love for missions and your home country of El Salvador touched our hearts.
We'll be praying with you!

Again, many thanks to Pastor Gentry and Eagle Creek Assembly for your generosity and partnership in missions all these years. Dios les bendiga!
